WHAT DOES IT DO?
UsagEX consists of a mobile app that monitors your Claude usage from your phone and a Claude Code plugin that sends it data. It shows the percentage of the five-hour session limit and the weekly limit live, telling you the time remaining and when the window resets. Usage data turns into a per-session breakdown of tokens, model and estimated cost, reported by today, week and month.
The problem it solves is one everyone working with Claude daily knows: the limit is invisible. The window fills right in the middle of a task and the flow is cut; how much each piece of work consumed and where the cost went stays unclear. UsagEX sends a notification in advance as the threshold approaches and tells you when the window resets — the interruption stops being a surprise and becomes something you can plan around.
Privacy is part of the design: your OAuth key never leaves your machine and conversation content is never transmitted — only usage percentages and token statistics are sent. Setup consists of a one-command plugin install and pairing with an 8-digit code on the phone; the last 30 days are filled in automatically and more than one computer can be connected to the same account.
