This week's artificial intelligence agenda was full of developments that touch marketers' budgets directly: advertising tests began inside ChatGPT, Google announced new agent-based tools for Google Ads, watermark policies changed, and major funding rounds showed the sector's appetite for growth once again. As the DijitalPi team we have collected the six standout developments of the week together with what they mean for advertisers in Türkiye.

Advertising Arrives in ChatGPT: Is a New Traffic Channel Being Born?

OpenAI has announced that it has begun testing advertising inside ChatGPT in order to support free access. Ads will be clearly labelled, kept separate from the content of answers, and user privacy and control will take priority. The step is one of the first concrete moves bringing chat-based interfaces into the advertising ecosystem.

DijitalPi's Take

This is the first real step breaking the monopoly of search engine advertising: the ad is no longer on the results page, it sits right next to the answer. For e-commerce and service sector advertisers in Türkiye it means GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) is no longer a 'future trend' but a budget line for today; visibility in ChatGPT may become as critical as a Google Ads account is tomorrow. Our recommendation: test now how your brand is 'recommended' inside ChatGPT and start shaping your content strategy around this new surface.

Agent-Based Artificial Intelligence Comes to Google Ads and Analytics

Google has announced new artificial intelligence and agent-assisted features inside Google Ads and Google Analytics. The tools aim to simplify marketing workflows and automate campaign management. The announcement stands out as part of Google's investment in agentic AI across its advertising products.

DijitalPi's Take

Campaign management is moving away from 'set it and watch it' towards a live system optimised automatically by agents. For multi-product e-commerce brands and service businesses running performance marketing, this means ROAS (return on ad spend) optimisation will become far faster and more data-driven than manual budget intervention. Our recommendation: clean up your account structure so it supports these agent-based tools, and strengthen your conversion tracking infrastructure today.

Watermarks Can Now Be Removed in Google Gemini

Google has introduced an option to turn off the visible 'sparkle' watermark on images, video and music produced with Gemini and Flow. When the setting is switched off, an invisible watermark intended for benchmarking still remains in the content. The change covers both individual users and corporate content producers.

DijitalPi's Take

The tension between transparency and brand aesthetics is now left to the user's discretion. For agencies and brands using AI imagery in advertising creative, this opens the way to watermark-free visuals that sit better with a corporate identity; but the invisible mark remaining in place shows that the origin of the content stays auditable. Our recommendation: make your transparency policy explicit for AI-generated creative, and set up an internal approval step for brand safety before watermark-free use.

A New Move From OpenAI Focused on Enterprise Speed: Ultrafast Mode

OpenAI has opened a preview of 'Ultrafast' mode, which speeds up the GPT-5.6 Sol model by up to 14 times compared with standard processing. Supported by Cerebras infrastructure, the mode delivers output speeds of up to 750 tokens per second. The move targets enterprise users in particular.

DijitalPi's Take

Speed is no longer a luxury but a precondition of real-time customer experience. For e-commerce and service brands running live support bots, dynamic ad copy production or instant personalisation, it means a new layer of user experience in which waiting times approach zero. Our recommendation: pilot these accelerated models in your high-volume, real-time content or support flows.
