A quick summary with AI

This week brought important developments across the AI marketing world, from advertising to content strategy and from the agency business to education technology. As ChatGPT Ads opens up in Europe, Google is reshaping the search experience for publishers and users alike. As the DijitalPi team we have put this week's most critical headlines under the microscope for you.

ChatGPT Ads in Europe: A New Channel Is Born for Advertisers

OpenAI is expanding ChatGPT Ads, the advertising capability inside ChatGPT, to 31 European markets. With this step brands will be able to reach users directly through the ChatGPT interface while they research products and make decisions. Unlike search engine advertising, the system sits inside the flow of the conversation.

DijitalPi's Take

A new front is opening in digital advertising: not the search box, but the chat window. Although this is not yet directly available in Türkiye, it is a clear signal that e-commerce and service brands should accelerate their GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) investment now. From what we see in the field, making brand content 'citable' by LLMs has become as critical an investment area as classic SEO. Our recommendation: restructure your brand knowledge base (product specifications, FAQs, comparison content) in a structured, LLM-friendly format so that you are not late when this channel reaches Türkiye.

Google Gives Publishers a New Weapon Against AI Traffic Loss

Google has introduced a new button that lets readers mark certain publishers as a 'preferred source' across Search, Discover and Google News. The feature is intended to help publishers protect their traffic at a time when AI-powered search is reducing clicks through to websites.

DijitalPi's Take

Google is throwing publishers a lifeline against the 'click drought' crisis, but it is also proof that brand loyalty has become the new unit of measurement. For every brand, news site or blog producing content, the priority should no longer be one-off traffic but becoming a 'preferred source'; in B2B and content marketing in particular, that means brand awareness converting directly into traffic. Our recommendation: aim to build a repeat relationship with the reader in your content strategy and prioritise CTAs that grow your subscriber and follower base, not just organic traffic.

Google Discover Is Now Personalised Through Conversation

Google has announced a new feature that lets users customise their Discover feed by describing it in natural language. The artificial intelligence will remember user preferences and update the feed automatically. The feature is coming to the Google app in the coming days.

DijitalPi's Take

In content distribution it is no longer the algorithm but the user's own description that decides. For e-commerce and media brands this accelerates the shift in content production from 'which keyword will I rank for' to 'which intent am I serving'. Across the brands where we run content marketing, the richness of intent and context now matters as much as headline optimisation. Our recommendation: build your content calendar around user intent rather than keywords, and prioritise the fit between visual and headline for visibility in Discover.

A Million Clicks for LinkedIn's 'AI Slop' Button

The 'Seems like AI slop' button that LinkedIn introduced at the end of July has been clicked more than a million times. Users can flag low-quality or excessively generative artificial intelligence content through the button. The company says it took the step to protect content quality on the platform.

DijitalPi's Take

Users are no longer developing immunity to AI content but a reaction against it, and that is a serious alarm bell for B2B content marketing. For professionals running a brand page or personal brand on LinkedIn, automatically generated generic posts no longer earn reach; they cost reputation. Across the corporate LinkedIn accounts we manage, posts carrying a human touch with real experience and data see far higher engagement. Our recommendation: use artificial intelligence for drafts and research, but always add a real expert's voice, examples and editing before publishing.

Meta Startup School: Growth Support for Early-Stage Brands

Meta has launched 'Meta Startup School', a three-month programme designed to accelerate the growth of early-stage consumer brands. In the first cohort, 200 startups will receive dedicated support and training from venture capital firms and industry experts. The programme focuses on consumer brands.

DijitalPi's Take

Large platforms are no longer only selling advertising space; they are becoming partners in a brand's growth roadmap. For e-commerce and D2C (direct-to-consumer) ventures in Türkiye, programmes of this kind offer first-hand learning of in-platform best practice and access to potential funding networks. From what we see in the field, the biggest gap for early-stage brands is not performance marketing but brand narrative and community design, and programmes like this fill exactly that gap. Our recommendation: follow platform-backed programmes of this type for your growing brand, review the application criteria early and prepare in advance.

Calendly Launches the AI Assistant Callie and a Notetaker

Meeting scheduling platform Calendly has announced two new AI-powered products. Notetaker records and transcribes meetings automatically, while the assistant named Callie manages meeting scheduling and preparation. Both products aim to reduce users' operational load.

DijitalPi's Take

In sales and customer relationship processes, the problem of 'forgetting after the meeting' is now being solved with artificial intelligence. In the agency and services sector, recording client meeting notes automatically has a direct effect on the speed of follow-up emails and the proposal process; it is one of the points where we lose the most time in client management too. Our recommendation: pilot tools of this kind that automate post-meeting action tracking in your sales team, and measure the delays in your conversion process.

The AI Marketing Newsletter is the column where the DijitalPi team comments each week on the standout developments from the world of artificial intelligence and marketing for brands in Türkiye.
