AI System for Suggesting Warehouse Locations for Incoming Materials

Materials under quarantine or unsuitable for storage together are removed from the standard put-away workflow. The system presents candidate locations based on dimensions, hazard class and rack capacity; the warehouse manager selects the final location.

The problem

When material dimensions, hazard classes and rack capacity are held in separate sources, their fields must be matched by hand before suitable location candidates can be prepared.

The warehouse manager must compare every suggested location candidate with its source record; missing or conflicting evidence must not replace the final decision.

If quarantined materials or materials that cannot be stored together are not set aside for review, unsafe placement or blocked capacity could result; the record must not proceed without a human decision.
