People
The permission types are "employee access", "admin access", "finance analyst" and "finance editor".
Partners
Facebook
Business Manager partners are the other accounts you want to work with. This is the section where, when you add a partner, the partner is granted access to business assets such as Facebook Pages, ad accounts and pixels.
Unlike with people, when you assign an agency as a Business Manager partner, for example, the agency does not have to come back to you to give permissions to its own staff — it assigns permissions to its own staff through its own Business Manager account.
Pages
Pages in Business Manager lets you add a Facebook Page you own or request access permission to a Facebook Page someone else owns. A new Facebook Page can also be created from this section.
Ad Accounts
Just as with pages, ad accounts in Business Manager lets you add a Facebook ad account you own or request access permission to an ad account someone else owns. A new Facebook Page can also be created from this section.
Business Asset Groups
Business asset groups in Business Manager is the tool that lets you organise your accounts. Your business may have several pages, several brands and several ad accounts. In this section you separate those assets into groups and make them easier to manage.
Apps
Apps in Business Manager lets you add the apps you own and thereby set up advertising for the app and conversions for your ads.
For example: you define the shopping or game app you have published on Google Play as an app on Facebook through the Facebook SDK and start running app install ads.
Instagram Accounts
This is the section where you connect Instagram accounts.
Line of Business
Line of business in Business Manager lets you group assets. Lines of business thereby let you measure campaigns' impact in all its aspects.
Catalogues
Catalogues in Business Manager is the section where the catalogue — the products, with their prices and attributes — is added to Facebook. In this section you can create a new catalogue or request access to a catalogue created earlier. But entering product information into the catalogue is done not from this section but from the Assets section shown in the image below.
Pixels
Pixels in Business Manager are, to use a specific term, a piece of code that takes information from your website or your app.
For example: after the e-commerce payment page you show users a "thank you, your order has been received" page. When you define the Facebook pixel code and place it on that page, Facebook learns which ad the user who made the purchase came from and even the amount they spent. The pixel code thereby gives us the ability to optimise ads better.
Offline Event Sets
Offline event sets in Business Manager is the section where events that take place outside websites or apps, generally in physical stores (purchases, visits and so on), are sent to Facebook as a data set so the relationship with the ads can be understood.
For example: you have a botanical garden where you sell in person. It gives you information about the customers who saw the ad and came, based on the customer data you share (encrypted) through the Facebook offline event sets agent. It never gives customer information individually. It gives a ratio such as 75% of your 3,000 customers saw the ad, for example.
Custom Conversions
Custom conversions in Business Manager lets you optimise the events that matter to your business. It allows a custom conversion to be created by applying rules to existing events.
For example: if your Facebook pixel code counts a "conversion" when you make a sale, you can measure people who subscribe to the newsletter as "newsletter subscriber".
Event Source Groups
Event source groups in Business Manager lets you group event sources such as pixels, apps and pages so customers' touchpoints can be drawn out.
Shared Audiences
Facebook Business Manager shared audiences — the audiences you create and share with other accounts, or that other accounts have shared with you, appear here.
What are shared audiences for?
By sharing an audience with a business that sells mobile phones, for example, you can use that business's data to sell mobile phone accessories.
Domains
The domain (domain name) you own is used to associate it with your Business Manager business.
The domain name is entered by choosing the "Add" option. Verification needs to be done by configuring DNS – TXT on the server or by uploading an HTML file to the server.
Block Lists
Block lists in Business Manager is the section that lets you block website domains and Facebook Pages where you do not want your ads to be seen.
News Pages
News pages in Business Manager is a verification area where news publishers apply and are approved, ensuring accurate information about current affairs reaches members. It is active in some language options. As of the date this article was published, this service is not yet active in Türkiye.
Lead Access
Lead access in Business Manager is the section where permissions are set to determine who will reach the data when you advertise using the lead form ad model on Facebook and Instagram.
Payments
This is the section where you set payment methods. The credit card details for the payment to be made are entered in this area.
Account Security
This is the section where two-factor authentication is set up to make the Business Manager account more secure, and where the account is made a verified account by sending in certain documents.
Requests
